Eslami: Chabahar Port makes Iran on a par with countries with advanced ports
Roads and Urban development Minister: With the new docks being built at the Chabahar port, the largest container ships could call this port, and Iran will be on a par with countries with advanced ports.

PMO News Portal - Visiting the Shahid Beheshti Port Development Plan in Chabahar, Mohammad Eslami stated that one of the important measures taken in Chabahar Port is the dismantling of the quick-installation docks which were placed at the port in the 1980s. With the investment made by the government in Chabahar Port, the first phase of Shahid Beheshti Port Development Plan Chabahar has been put into operation. Now, Chabahar is a standard and well equipped port, with a daily capacity of 8.5 million tons.

According to Eslami, 5 hectares of land have been reclaimed in the first phase of the Chabahar Port Development Plan, and with the implementation of Phase 2 of the Chabahar Port, the capacity of the port will reach to approximately 35 million tons, including oil, bulk and container docks.

The most modern marine passenger terminal in Chabahar

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development added: "The country's most modern marine passenger terminal has been built with the most up-to-date equipment in the Chabahar port. There is no passenger terminal in the country with these specifications and facilities. The emphasis is on facilitating and expediting cruise travel between Iran's ports and neighboring countries.
