PMO News Portal - Mohammed Rastad, at the end of the meeting of the Ports and Maritime Organization executives through a videoconference emphasized that the Implementation of measures against Coronavirus at the ports should not harm the process and operations at he ports of the country.
Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development added: During the Nawroz holidays, ships carrying essential goods, will call the ports of Shahid Raja'i, Imam Khomeini (RA) and Chabahar. Therefore its essential for the loading and unloading operations of theses ships to go as smooth as possible at the ports
Rastad emphasized that during the New Year holidays, shifts in operational sections should be planned as usual. Also, Precise and uninterrupted performance of operators should be monitored by port managers. process should be managed in such a way as to minimize the halts caused by change of working shifts, especially for strategic goods.
Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development concluded that maritime tourism has been put into a halt due to the spread of Coronavirus. Despite the limitations of travel and sea tourism, monitoring and observance of safety requirements must still be undertaken carefully.
