PMO News Portal - At a meeting on exploring the potential and capability of investing, transit and exports through Chabahar, Gaddam Dharmendra, the ambassador of India to Iran stated that countries such as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other CIS countries can be present in Chabahar port and transit their goods in the best possible way.
He emphasized: over the past year, Iran and India's trade has grown by 30%, and reached to about $ 17 billion a year. Due to the growth in trade between Iran and India and the increase in business activities, we give priority to what we have pledged in our joint contract.
At his two-day visit to Chabahar, while visiting the infrastructure, equipment and berths of the Shahid Beheshti Port Development Project, Ambassador of India said: The Chabahar port could play a very important role for the development of Indian business. Chabahar port could be taken as symbol for the development of the two countries’ business in future.
