The first ship carrying barley, including essential goods, arrived at the port of Chabahar, said the Director General of Sistan and Baluchestan Ports and Maritime.
PMO News Portal – Regarding the import of staples through Chabahar Port, Behrooz Aghaei stated that for the first time, a barley-carrying cereal vessel with a capacity 67000 tons was berthed at Shahid Beheshti Port of Chabahar.
The Director General of Sistan and Baluchistan Ports and Maritime pointed out the role of Chabahar Port in the unloading and loading of staples and said that the port has achieved good growth this year thanks to its advanced bulk grain unloading and loading equipment.
He continued: Due to the importance of import of staples, 37% growth of unloading and loading of staple goods was recorded in Chabahar port during the first six months of this year, compared to the same period last year. Much action has been taken in this regard and other ships carrying barley and staples will soon arrive at the port of Chabahar, Aghaei concluded.
