Strengthened Iran, India and Afghanistan trade by expanding transit through Shahid Beheshti Port
Strengthening trade between Iran, India and Afghanistan was one of the most important steps in expanding transit through Shahid Beheshti Port as well as the dredging of 800 thousand cubic meters during last year.

PMO News Portal - Behrouz Aghaei emphasized the importance of Chabahar port and maritime operations during last year and stated that Improvement of unloading and loading softwares as well as full shipment of basic commodities without interruption in port and increase of unloading and loading of basic commodities by 136% are the most important measures taken during last year.

Referring to the role of the Chabahar port as a vital link of regional interactions, he announced the launch of a mechanism for reciprocal cost reductions on Indian and Chabahar ports, saying that boosting trade between Iran, India and Afghanistan by expanding transit through this and the launch of a regular shipping line between Chabahar and India ports and the deployment of the country's first foreign port operator at Shahid Beheshti Port have all been among the important measures taken in this port last year.

He concluded that 170 delegations of domestic and foreign investors and state and army officials visited the port of Chabahar during the year, resulting in 53 investment requests and 7 contracts worth of 4080 billion Rial.
